Biscuits



Chocolates
   

To make the biscuit powder take 10 - 12 marie or nice biscuits and grind them in the mixie to form powder. Mix this powder with drinking choclate, condensed milk and butter (use hands if required. To this mixture add milk/rum till dough like consistency is achieved. Now divide this into small balls and roll over the nut powder. Cool in the refrigerator before serving. This can last for several days.

Butter Biscuit
   

Mix all above ingredients, and make like Chapathi dough. Preheat the oven for 300 degrees Fahrenheit. From the dough make small, small balls and press it little. Bake in the oven about 10 minutes.

Hot Biscuits
   

Mix maida or all purpose flour, hing powder, salt, chilli powder, soda bicard in a large bowl. Add enough water to bind to a soft dough. Knead the dough well for five minutes. Divide the dough in to eight portions. Roll out each portion into a round shape(Like medium size roti) Now, take a knife and cut it into small diamond shape. Heat oil in a kadai. Drop the pieces in to the oil and fry till golden brown in color. (crispy) Drain and preserve it in clean dry air tight jar.

Sweet Biscuits
   

Mix maida or all purpose flour, salt, sodabicarb in a large bowl. Follow the above steps from 2-8. Take a non-stick pan. Add sugar and water and start heating it. Keep stirring on high heat till the mixture becomes sticky. Now, switch off the heat and drop all the biscuits into this syrup and mix it well. Leave it in the pan, till the biscuits absorbs all the syrup. Preserve it in clean dry airtight jar.

Nut Chocolate
   

Sieve milk powder without any lumps. Mix with little water to make a batter of dosa dough consistency. Keep a heavy bottom 'Kadai' with the diluted mixture and keep stirring till it becomes thick. Add sugar and cook till it becomes semi solid consistency Remove from fire. Mix butter, sieved cocoa, drinking chocolate powder and stir well. Put it back on fire and stir till it becomes like a ball pour little of the mixture in little water. It floats like a ball, remove from fire. Add nuts, and mix well. Pour on a well greased square plate and level the top with a spatula. Cut after 1 minute when the mixture is still warm.

Milk Chocolate
   

Sieve milk powder, cocoa together breaking out lumps if any. Heat sugar and water together in a heavy vessel stirring constantly till it melts. Boil the syrup till it reaches one string consistency. Remove from fire and quickly sprinkle sieved milk powder, cocoa along with butter and stir till everything blends together. Pour on a greased tray and cut into pieces when it is still warm. Note: Pieces of walnuts, blanched almonds or raisins may be added before pouring on the tray.

Choco Roll
   

Mix all ingredients and form into roll (use hands!). Wrap with cling film and put in fridge for 1 hr before cutting into slices. Can be served as dessert with good helping of cream!

Jam Biscuits
   

Cream Butter and sugar together (i,e mix together in one direction only) Add in the maida. Mix in 1/2 tsp strawberry essence. Bind it well into a dough. Make a chapati like and cut into any shape with the help of a biscuit cutter. Mash mixed fruit jam throughly in a bowl . Put mashed jam in the middle of the biscuit & then to the whole biscuit ie spread it. Cut biscuits & then cut in the centre (a small circle) and place this on the top of the jam applied biscuit. Fill in some jam in the centre. Bake these for 20mins at 160oC sprinkle sugar on the jam in the centre after they are baked.

Sweet and Salt Biscuit
   

Take a bowl and add maida salt sugar and also veg fat and mix nicely. Then add sufficient water and mix like a chapathi dough. Leave for 10 mins. Then make it 2 or 3 pieces and then roll it with a roller as thin and as big as you can. You have to do with the remining dough also and take vegetable knife and cut the chapathi into small diamonds shape. Then fry them in hot oil on a medium flame. When they are cool they can be taken in a container.

Fruit Chocolate With Cream
   

Cut two bananas and add sugar in it and mix it well in mixer. Now add cream and mix it well again. Now take half banana cream and put it aside. Mix coco powder and chocolate powder in milk and add it into other half of banana cream. Cut the apple, remaining banana, excluding grapes and put it into a bowl. On this fruit layer add half portion of white banana cream Then add chocolate banana cream, on it put a layer of white banana cream. Garnish with popins and chocolate pieces. Keep it in freezer and serve cold.
